Fall is my favorite season. Besides the celebration of my birthday in September (the 24th–yes, I will accept gifts), Autumn has so much to offer: leaves changing color, new fall fashions, television premieres, Halloween parties and so much more. What I never really longed for, however, was the start of the football season….that is, until now.
What football meant to me:
- My boyfriend was MIA several nights for his 1, 2, 3 fantasy football leagues
- My boyfriend was oblivious to me on Saturday mornings (college football), Sunday nights, Monday nights…the list goes on…
- My birthday celebrations revolved around the Chicago Bears (my parents) or Denver Broncos (my brother) games
- Brunch anywhere in Lakeview, Lincoln Park or Wrigleyville (Chicago)? = forget it!
What football means to me now:
- A fun jersey from Alyssa Milano’s Touch line
- Something to look forward to on Sundays now that this season of True Blood is over!
- A reason for a party!
- An easy Halloween costume idea
- Actually understanding why I am giving guys high fives at the bar…
- And much more…
And why the change? Well, now I get to share my journey through Football 101: the blunders, stupid questions, victories, exhilaration, and more. And I can’t wait to begin – Football season 2009-2010, here I come…!
