24-year-old running back, Adrian Peterson, #28 for the Minnesota Vikings is sponsored by Nike Football. His commercial was in the second half of the Steelers/Titans game on Thursday night.
At first I thought it was an animated video game, but with the Nike swoosh gave it away at the end. Shot in black and white you can see it in the crisp beating breath of the players, I love that kind of down and dirty football! So elegant, gorgeous and inspiring!
For me and my feminine design aesthetic, it is a bit dark-horse / lord of the rings, but I went to the Nike site and was blown away with their interactive exploration for words like “aggression” and “determination” as told by Peterson.
NikeSport does a one-day only limited release of songs, videos and interactive tidbits, and today it features a “gameday remix” by Birdman and tattoo spokesman, Lil Wayne, which featured A. Peterson for extra motivation. There are only 2,400 downloads remaining. I bet $10, 2,400 people download it tonight. Check it out, if not for it’s masculine down and dirtiness, but for it’s innovative interactive design.
