Lisa's Football journey; Learning to love the game
I went to the Missouri / Furman game September 19 with my hubby and Dad – MU Tigers 52, Furman a mere 12, sorry to my South Carolina friends, ya’ll have had a streak of bad luck! I am hyped up for next weekend’s showdown verse No 23 Nebraska! October 8 9pm EST on ESPN.
And I didn’t get the name of the cutest MU Tiger Cheerleader sitting behind me, but here she is at her first game! So adorable!
There are a few key differences in College Football verse Professional. For example, because I know more about pro-ball, I was at a loss when the clock didn’t stop at the “2-minute warning.”
Here is another difference; College players aren’t allowed to physically “celebrate” their touchdowns like Professional players. I love touchdown dances, and have often practiced my own version of the funky chicken, but College players have to save it for the big time. (you have to watch this 40 sec spot set to “Girls Just want to have fun”)
In this picture you can see that the crowd on the opposite side of the field, the student side, are all wearing Gold. Through social media, newspapers and online venues the MU Tigers tell all their fans to either wear Black or Gold depending. In the Nebraska game it is going to be “Black Out” day, which is so effective and kind of scary and tough all at the same time.
My dad choose to wear his faithful Hawaiian shirt, claiming that it was “Hawaiian Shirt Day” and it was in fact us that didn’t get the memo.

Isn't every day Hawaiian Shirt Day?

nicely. nice kit for awesome celebration
