The Madden NFL series, originally called John Madden Football, was first released in 1989 for the Apple II and now is available for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and even Wii. The game is named after John Madden, the well-known football color commentator Super Bowl-winning professional football coach (During the 1970s with the Oakland Raiders.)
