Football 101 MVP, Brad Smith
Brad Smith is a wide receiver for the New York Jets, which by the grace of God are going to Indianapolis next week for the AFC playoff game (gulp).
Though he wasn’t integral to the game on Sunday, he is both on and off field a leader that surprises us with his humble manners and grace.
Lisa watched Brad Smith religiously bring the MU Tigers from a rather lowly team (sorry!) to ESPN highlights. He played the QB, quarterback position, but again, with grace like a dancer he leaped all over the field, rushing and scoring which landed him the position of WR, wide receiver, with the Jets. Brad was the only freshman quarterback in Missouri history to ever start a season, and was named first-team freshman All-American.
Off field he is known for his devout Christian upbringing and love for God. Maybe it’s personal, and maybe we love him because he is a “good ole Missouri boy” but he is also sensational to watch and we are going to have fun watching him on Sunday, no matter the outcome.
