Although the celebrations have died down and the sky is strangely calm, I have good news for you! The nation can once again rejoice on August 8, 2010 when The National Football League opens its 2010 pre-season with the NHL Hall of Fame Game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Dallas Cowboys at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH.

The NFL Preseason schedule 2010 includes four weeks of games through early September. Read more about the upcoming games so you can start planning your NFL parties.

And stay tuned over the next month when Football 101 Women gets back in the game with new basics postings, interviews and stories from some of our fans!

Football 101 Women Fans -- we are so happy to have celebrated our first Superbowl with you. And the Saints were too -- their first Superbowl run ended in victory -- now, that's the way to do it! As Lisa mentioned on our Facebook page, it wasn't the most exciting game, but it had its moments. Below are my five fave moments of Superbowl XLIV.

    * ETRADE babies and Bud Light featuring T Payne. Milkaholic, anyone? :) In my opinion, these commercials stole the show. Doritos Watch Yourself was a close second. If you haven't seen them, click the links and enjoy!
    * The Saints' onside kick at the beginning of the second half - I learned that this play only works 18 percent of the time. Or maybe now it's 19...
    * Call Barney Stinson. Need I say more?
    * The shots of Drew Brees holding baby son Baylen after the Saints' big win -- he just seems so nice. After all, he raised more than $4.5 million for charity!
    * The Gridiron Gourmet as I like to call it. Chicken wings, cookies, wine, dip....hello Jillian Michaels workout.

So those are my fave moments of Superbowl 40. What were yours?!

Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday to Christmas. I love eating, drinking and watching football with the fam. This year we have everyone coming to my house, and with our ghetto TV from my college days, we can only hope everyone can squeeze into the living room and see the TV (yes, it's that small)

Thanksgiving games are a tradition for the NFL since 1920. They typically host three rival games. The Dallas Cowboys have played every Thanksgiving since 1966! This year we have:

    * Green Bay @ the Detroit Lions at 12:30 PM on Fox.
    * Oakland @ Dallas from Cowboy Stadium at 4:15pm on CBS
    * NY Giants @ Denver from Mile High at 8:20 PM on NFL Network

Do you have any Thanksgiving football traditions? We would love to hear them!

Is it cheating if all I did was add Hidden Valley Fiesta Ranch to sour cream and called it cooking?

On Sunday night I positioned myself in front of the boob tube with 16oz of fat free sour cream and one packet of a fiesta mixed with cheddar cheese and diced green chiles and dove into the Bears game. Carrots, tortilla chips and Jay Cutler throwing interception after interception! It was heartbreaking. So I ate more. But, it's fat free, so is it cheating?

Thanks to my good friend Betsy for the secret!
