I remember my family’s first attempts to attract me to sports. My brother would collect these tiny, adorable baseball and football helmets that he got from gumball machines. He and my dad would show me the helmets and teach me the team names. Then they’d come back later and quiz me! Although I didn’t watch football on TV, I loved the challenge and the game and always impressed them.

Top 10 reasons Susan already loves football!

The Top 10 reasons I love football so far…

1. The NFL went pink! Anyone who knows me can tell you that pink is my absolute fave color…just check out our site. Besides that, I work in health care and Breast Cancer Awareness is a cause that is near and dear to me. What great PR from the NFL!

2. The NFL moves. Have you seen the way some of those guys flip around the field and just get right back on their feet? I was watching the Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions game on Sunday and Jay Cutler flipped right into a touchdown! Check out YouTube and I guarantee you’ll see some great replays.

Picture this: a Thursday night in August. A nice quiet evening on the couch with a book and a glass of wine. Sitting next to me is my boyfriend looking through images of horses, snakes, was that a goat?! Looking for the perfect helmet design on his Fantasy Football website. I didn’t know you could do THAT. You pick your team name as well –A marketer’s dream. Then, alas, in a flash of light, the power goes out…and all hell breaks loose.

My First Down: Sanchez, Sacks, Shotguns and the Stanford-Cal

Today, I’m sick. Sick with football fever. It’s so contagious. I have to admit – I actually planned my weekend trip to Trader Joe’s and my laundry run around today’s Chicago Bears vs. Pittsburgh Steelers game! And I’m not disappointed. Amid the sudden rainfall, a major collision took place in the second quarter, with re-plays from every angle just in case you missed the cracking helmets and slippery somersaults. You don’t see THAT at Wrigley Field.
